Last year, the square in front of the hotel was packed with Tamil protesters carrying posters criticizing the Sri Lankan government and supporting the Tamil Tigers.  This year there are no protesters at all (so far) in the street but the entrance to the hotel is blocked by heavily armed Norwegian police and the lobby is packed with big Slavic-looking men in ill-fitting suits and wires coming out of their ears.  <p><a href="/node/2945"><span>read more</span></a></p> /node/2945#comments Human Rights Medvedev norway Tue, 27 Apr 2010 00:41:28 +0000 The Point 2945 at http://standpointmag.co.uk
