Internment? Or Interment.

The death of Richard Ferguson QC, which I reported here on Monday, is now marked by an obituary in The Times.

Sad that he is not here to read it. Sadder, too, that he could not have seen various notices announcing his funeral service tomorrow. This, the announcements said, would be followed by a "private internment".

As a Northern Ireland Protestant, he would have been very amused. The word has now been changed to "interment".
