Singing Our Hearts Out...
I have a piece in the magazine's new September print edition (out now) about the joys of singing. Which is something I'm afraid I can't do terrifically well and never could. When I was researching the requisite vocal information for Songs of Triumphant Love I came across an astonishing number of revelations about everything that singing can do for us: it has tangible health benefits, for a start, and psychological ones too. When we say we are 'singing our hearts out' it's probably because we really are: it's a great stressbuster. Apparently we've been turning to singing in droves to beat the recession blues... Anyway, the whole piece is here.
