Sad to hear that Lady Susana Walton, widow of Sir William, passed away on Sunday, aged 83. According to the website of La Mortella, the exquisite garden the Waltons created on Ischia, her ashes will be buried in the Nymphaeum on the mountainside of La Mortella near her husband's.
Here is an interview with her from Culturekiosque, 2008, with some lovely reminiscences of her husband.
And here is some suitable music to say farewell: the beginning of the Walton Violin Concerto conducted by the composer, with Jascha Heifetz as soloist.
