Wagner: the Big Question
The latest in the very operatic saga of the Wagner dynasty: Gottfried Wagner's alleged exclusion from the memorial service for his father Wolfgang this weekend has spawned a slew of articles, including mine today in the Indy (read it here). Surely it can only be a matter of time until some clever opera director decides to stage the Ring Cycle with the Rhinemaidens holding up a Wagner score to represent the Rheingold...
