

Recruiting at Policy Exchange — Head of Corporate Development
Policy Exchange is looking for a committed and dynamic individual to co-ordinate all corporate engagement with Policy Exchange, including Business Forum, unit partnership, donations to research programmes and sponsorship of events.
The ideal candidate would have the skill set to focus on securing new members of the Business Forum in line with agreed targets, assisting Heads of Research in approaching new corporates to Policy Exchange's work and to help obtain donations to programmatic work. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in sales, specifically in chasing, closing and ensuring timely donations. They would also have to demonstrate an ability to manage corporate relationships at a high level but be supported in this by Policy Exchange senior management. An interest in politics and policy development is essential.
In more detail, the post involves:
- Developing and delivering a strategic corporate fundraising plan to senior management which identifies new opportunities and prepares approach strategies
- Working closely with the Finance Director to establish fund raising targets and monitor timely delivery of budgets
- Identifying and securing new members of Business Forum
- Stewardship of existing Business Forum members, assisted by the Business Forum Manager
- Working closely with the Director of Policy and Strategy and the Heads of Research to identify, approach and secure corporate donors for their programmes of research and events
- Working closely with the Policy Exchange Communications and Events teams to attract sponsorship opportunities from the business sector for core events and party conferences
- Maintaining weekly and monthly update reports to senior management which record corporate fundraising successes and evaluate prospective new business opportunities.
