According to this the radio shock jock Michael Savage has called our Home Secretary 'a witch'. I had never heard of Mr Savage until now. Presumably this will do wonders for his online audience in Britain.
Many commentators have pointed to the fact that several people on the list of banned have never sought to enter Britain, or, indeed, are not in a position to do so, like the two Russian skinheads who are currently serving 20 years jail sentences for murder.
I think mocking the list misses the point. Which is that rather as the French government could only rid schools of veils by banning 'big crosses' and Jewish skullcaps, so the only way the British can ban Islamist extremists is to conceal what is a focused measure beneath a camouflage of universality. Hence why a US shock jock who has not been here in several decades, and has no desire to come here anyway, finds himself in the company of the others.
